Welcome to St Thomas' Burwood

A merger of St Theodore's Wattle Park (hence some of the references you'll find on this site) and St Michael & All Angel's Bennettswood. We're a small Anglican community church serving Surrey Hills, Box Hill South and Burwood in the inner east of Melbourne Australia.
Our tradition is evangelical reformed Anglican.
We seek to share the good news of God's love in Jesus Christ to those around us in a loving and caring fashion.

We are currently operating from two sites: 107 Broughton Rd, Surrey Hills and 44 Station St, Burwood (see our Worship Services page) MAP

St Thomas' Day Service

We're getting excited about our combined St Thomas' Day Gift Service coming up on July 5th at 10am at Broughton Rd. It should be a great day of celebration of the good things that are happening here and looking forward to the nex tfew years when we hope to completer a complete redevelopment of our Station St site.

This will be a special Gift Day service for our Building Fund where we will bring a first gift for our Building Fund appeal and pledge forms for the next five years of fundraising. Some people have decided to give the Federal Governments cash bonus on top of their own gift as a special offering. We hope to raise $60,000 on the day.

The service will be followed by a soup bread and cheese lunch.

Congratulations to Paul Wheelton who has just been awarded an OAM in the Queen's Birthday honours for his service to children and youth - some of which has been carried out here at St Thomas' over the past 20 years.

Paul was honoured at a dinner arranged by Life Education Victoria on Sunday June 7th.

Jocelyn Choo's Farewell

Today we farewelled Jocelyn Choo who has been our Cantonese Young Adults Minister since January 2009. She has done a great job of growing the young adults group and will be greatly missed.

After our Pentecost Sunday combined Service we went out for a delicious Yum Cha dinner thanks to Ida and N.C.'s organisation. We all had a great time together. Now we just need to do enough exercise to work off those extra calories! Here are some photos. Go to our Photo Album for full size versions
